For Dr Charles Williamson, chiropractic wasn’t just a career choice. It was a life-changing turning point that completely reshaped the direction of his family’s future.
After experiencing the difference chiropractic made in his own life, Dr Charles and his family made a bold decision. They sold their home, cars, furniture, and belongings before relocating to Davenport, Iowa, where he studied at Palmer College of Chiropractic, widely recognised as the founding college of the profession.
A Lifelong Commitment to Learning
While studying at Palmer College, Dr Charles developed a deep appreciation for the relationship between the spine, nervous system, and overall health. The knowledge he gained continues to shape the way he approaches practice member care today.
His education has extended well beyond graduation. Over the years, Dr Charles has completed extensive post-graduate education in paediatrics, the Webster Technique, nutrition, and emerging chiropractic research. He believes that continuing education is an important part of providing contemporary, evidence-informed care.
Caring for Communities Near and Far
Throughout his career, Dr Charles has also participated in numerous chiropractic mission trips to developing countries, providing care in communities with limited access to healthcare services. These experiences reinforced his belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to receive quality healthcare, regardless of where they live.
Sharing the Chiropractic Message
Now semi-retired, Dr Charles continues to enjoy connecting with people and sharing what he has learned throughout his career. It was his children who encouraged him to create a website, believing it would allow him to reach and educate more people about chiropractic.
While much has changed since he first graduated, his enthusiasm for helping people better understand their health has remained the same.
